The Beauty

The Beauty

The Beauty aspect of my blog is basically everything that makes you beautiful inside and out, because they are equally as important. It’s important to look good, feel good and do good and this can be accomplished my making over your soul and your wardrobe alike.

When it comes to your exterior there’s one thing I’ve had in mind for a while: “when you look good, you feel good, you do good.” I had a best friend tell me this once when I was kinda slackin on my mackin in the “looks” department. I was going through a lot in my life and I put pampering myself on the back burner, because I was certain I had bigger fish to fry. But when he said this, it made nothing but sense. You have to take care of yourself and when you do your attitude towards everything automatically changes.

That’s why I write posts about health, fitness, beauty and fashion. It’s important to treat yourself right simply because you’re worth it. I know.. I know. It sounds like a Cover Girl commercial, but it’s true. Think about when you’ve been hitting the gym and you lose those first two pounds. Or when you step out in some new stilettos and everyone’s drooling over them. Or, fellas, when you get that fresh lineup after lookin o-so shaggy. I’m just sayin, a mani-pedi can go a long way in your life. Guys, you too.. get up on that mani-pedi one time.

And the other key to my Beauty aspect is, of course, the interior. Being a beautiful person is to be a beautiful soul. Everyone’s driving force in life should include being a good and beautiful person. I know it’s mine. I do realize this is a conscious effort, because it’s hard to do right in a world that’s most times o-so wrong.

For your inner beauty I write posts about wisdom, community service, role models and faith. My hippie side comes out a bit in this aspect that’s for sure, but I really wish to condition your souls with these posts.

Beauty is not about being vain, it’s about being the best you. Don’t sell yourself short; be the most beautiful person you can be.

The Brains

The Brains

The Brains aspect of this blog deals with everything, that I feel, is real going on in the world. I know this isn’t “The Realness” description, but it’s the only way I know how to explain it. It’s all good to know about the latest Hollywood breakup or what happened on the latest show of Real Housewives of New Jersey. Trust me, I love that senseless ish. But when it comes down to it, you better know what’s going on in the real world and how to actually hold a real, intellectual, “grown-up” conversation.

There’s so much information out there that’s essential to know as a citizen of this PLANET. And it pains me when I have t0 have conversations with such ignorant people at times. Close minded people also suffer from a lack of knowledge as well, which is another annoyance of mine. And how about when someone looks like they have the whole package, but then you ask them who fought in the American Civil War and they have no idea?!

But actually, my posts don’t really involve history pop quizzes. To the contrary I like to post about books, documentaries, business articles and speakers that share information that go beyond what they tried to teach us in school and in text books. This stuff is straight mentally stimulating to me. I think it’s because, as humans, we crave growth and that’s what knowledge provides us.

Looks can only go so far. At the end of the day, what your mind provides is what advances any relationship you have with a person (business, friendship, romantic, etc.) In other words, no body likes a dumb broad!.. or dude!

I like to talk about business and such, not just because I have a degree in it, but actually, because I have a natural liking for it. Talkin’ business makes me o-so giddy. I like to hopefully inspire people to be on their hustle and encourage their grind. You want senseless bully then direct your browser to those gossip sites. We keep it positive and meaningful around here.

Imma make you think. Period.

The Realness

The Realness

In The Realness aspect of my blog you really get a dose of what I’m about, where I come from and where I stand. To be “real” is something that isn’t easily self proclaimed. It’s also a genuine characteristic that can even reflect a vulnerability. It is something that others recognize, because they are able to relate to it in their own sense. I personally can’t help except to be “real,” and I know this because of how others respond to me and my writings.

The content of these specific posts vary so much and are often random thoughts, but they are the most relatable. I can be talking about music, friends, relationships and even morals. These are some of the main topics I LOVE talkin about in general, so this portion will probably carry the most substance. And since I’m bein “real” you’ll notice a little twang in my writing. I’m a very animated person and I’m from The Bay and the way I write definitely reflects that.

My humorous side comes out a lot in this aspect, which isn’t surprising because I love to laugh and make others laugh. My analytical self also is portrayed a lot, because the topics might be simple but the ideas are deep and original. I write about what I know and my opinions and advice come from what I’ve learned and experienced.

With these posts I honestly just hope people learn to embrace who they really are. There’s too many fake people in this world trying to be a part of your life and its exhausting trying to weed them out, to be honest.

If real recognizes real, then my posts will sound familiar.

Mucho Love,

Juelzy G.
